The Catholic Diocese of Kalamazoo is seeking a candidate for the position of principal at Immaculate Conception School in Three Rivers, MI. Immaculate Conception is a PRE-K to 1st grade school with the potential to grow. This position will require a well-organized, enthusiastic, positive, and caring person.  Must enjoy working with young children and be an excellent communicator. The principal is responsible for the complete operation of the school, including all its approved functions and services.  It is expected that the principal will also be responsible for some teaching duties. Must be an active Catholic and fully participating in the sacramental life of the church.
 
Other preferred qualifications include:
            Masters Degree in Education
            2-5 years teaching experience
            Experience in School Administration

St. Joseph Parish, Watervliet
Music Director/Organist

St. Joseph Parish in Watervliet is looking for a part-time Music Director/Organist.  The preferred candidate must be familiar with the Catholic Mass.  Must be available to play for Saturday Vigil Mass and 2 Masses on Sunday mornings, play music for funerals, special Holy Days, and practice with the adult and small, youth choir.  Start date:  June 1, 2014.  If interested, please contact the parish office at (269) 463-5470.

St. Clare Parish, Centreville
Music Director/Organist

St. Clare in Centreville is looking for a part time Music Director/Organist. The preferred candidate must be familiar with the Catholic Mass and be available to have practice with the small choir an hour before the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sundays. St. Clare is a Mission Church of Immaculate Conception in Three Rivers and is 7 miles East of Three Rivers. Middle & High School Youth Ministry Coordinator
Holy Family Parish is seeking a Youth Ministry Coordinator for middle and high school students (grades 6-12).  This full-time position is responsible for the ongoing development of parish-based ministry for youth.  Our Parish Youth Ministry is to be ministry to, for, and by our youth, utilizing a variety of faith-filled, caring, and qualified adults in the ministry.  Ministry is to center on three goals:  calling young people to be disciples of Jesus Christ; drawing young people into the life, work and mission of the faith community; and fostering the total personal and spiritual growth of young people.  Major responsibilities include the Sunday Faith Formation/Youth Ministry programs and additional social, service, retreat and prayer activities, founded in the principles for a comprehensive vision for Youth Ministry.
 
Candidates must:
  • Be an active member of a Roman Catholic parish faith community
  • Possess strong administrative, communication, volunteer management and relational skills
  • Enjoy and understand the middle school person and the high school person and his/her developmental needs, as well as adult volunteers
  • Have experience in a parish middle and/or high school youth ministry program
  • Have ability to work collaboratively with Faith Formation staff, Parish staff, and leadership groups
  • Possess a youth ministry or catechist certificate or equivalent
  • Possess a high school diploma, bachelor’s degree (or beyond) preferred

  1. Assess the needs and potential resources for clients
    • Provide information, referrals, pre-counseling services
    • Advocate with agencies to obtain benefits and services for clients
    • Network with individuals, civic, and other church groups
  2. Supervise the parish St. Vincent de Paul Center
    • Recruit and train volunteer staff
    • Coordinate volunteers who pick up donations and shop weekly for food
  3. Administer parish outreach ministries:
  • Administer the budget of the St. Vincent de Paul Outreach Services
  • Collaborate and consult with the volunteer Outreach Board
  1. Educate the parish about social justice issues

Campus Minister – Liturgical Music Ministries

Organist/Music Director Job Opening
Old St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan is seeking a qualified candidate to work as a part-time Music Director and Organist (15-20 hours/week.) If desired, the position might be supplemented with unrelated work at the parish office. Salary is flexible with experience. Proficiency at the organ, experience directing choirs, the ability to cantor, familiarity with Roman Catholic Church documents on music and the liturgy, and a working knowledge of Gregorian chant is required. Familiarity with the Extraordinary Form of the Mass and pronunciation of ecclesial Latin is highly recommended. Responsibilities include one weeknight choir rehearsal, three weekend Masses, one weekend choir rehearsal, additional seasonal rehearsals, additional yearly liturgies including Masses on Holy Days, holidays, First Communion, Confirmation, a monthly Extraordinary Form Mass, and twice-yearly penance service liturgies. There is additional compensation for weddings and funerals.
