The Catholic Extension, whose purpose is to strengthen the church's presence and mission in under-resourced communities across the United States (http://www.catholicextension.org/semchallenge/) has offered a $50,000 challenge grant to qualifying dioceses to support seminarian education.

After reviewing many applications, Catholic Extension has awarded one of the challenge grants to the Diocese of Kalamazoo. This grant brings significant funding to provide resources, education and training for our young men studying for the priesthood.

Because this is a challenge grant, we must raise $50,000 in gifts of $1,000 or more before December 31, 2012. Donations should be mailed to Diocese of Kalamazoo, Attn: Office of Vocations, 215 N. Westnedge, Kalamazoo 49007-3760 (indicate Catholic Extension grant on memo line.)
